So, I just downloaded wamp and and got the server running by toggling with a few of my skype options. I disabled IIS7 and I still can't access my localhost page. When I mouseover icon it says the server is running so I'm not sure if maybe the php files aren't rendering correctly or what. Any input on this would be great!

Ty

If the wampmanager icon in your system tray is red then it has not started the wampapache or wampmysql services.

Have you tried to install Apache and MySQL some other way? If so you need to make sure you have uninstalled those other attempts properly.

Take a look at the services installed on your PC

Start->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->services

WAMP installs Apache and MySQL but calls them wampapache and wampmysql.

If you see a service called Apache and MySQL and they are started this will be stopping wamps versions from starting.
If you have a uninstall for the other mechanism use it to remove these other versions of Apache and MySQL.
If not just set them to be DISABLED and wamps versions should then run.
