PHPmyADMIN 2002 ERROR

Hi.
I'm having som trouble of accessing my PHPmyadmin from localhost it's just giving me a 2002 error and refusing me access.. WHat to do?!
The mamp tray icon is orange..
Hope the is a solution..

If the Wampmanager icon is orange then either Apache or MySQL service has not started.
It is normally Apache that has not started and this is normally because some other service has already grabbed port 80.
Left click the wampmanager icon in the stsrem tray and follow these menus -> Apache -> Service -> Test port 80.
This will launch a command window and tell you what is using port 80.
Whatever it is will have to be un-installed or re-configured to not use port 80.
Post what this test returns and I will tell you what to do to fix it.
