Keeping WAMP local-only (i.e. preventing internet access)

Is WAMP configured to be local-only by default? Is it completely cut off from the internet? I want to test some concepts using a local host but I'm unclear as to whether any extra steps need to be taken to ensure that the information is accessible ONLY from my computer.

Thanks

Thanks Steve.

For paranoia's sake, is there any way that I would be able to verify that the server is not online?

If you have not port forwarded port 80 on your router then the router will not let anything into your internal network on port 80. Apache will only connect on port 80, unless you change the Listen port.

If you leave wamp Offline Apache will reject any connection made from any ip other than 127.0.0.1.
