your port 80 is not actually used(WAMP icon is orange)

My wamp icon is orange. I have been on google since yesterday and I have tried out so many things including the following

tried to install the service from wamp-apache-service
checked the file windows-system32-driver-etc and made sure it only has localhost 127.0.0.1
Made sure skype is not using port 80
Mde sure IIS is unchecked.

Still nothing.

Please help, what else can I try?

Susan,

Have you looked at your apache error log and also the windows event messages, apache reports in there if problems occur before it can write to its own error log.

Otherwise if you want some help via Team Viewer, I am available now.

It was all caused by an error in the phpMyAdmin config file, which casued Apache not to start.

Install Team Viewer and I will troubleshoot it for you.


Once you have TV send me a Private Message with the ID and PASSWORD that TV gives you, leave it running as the password changes each time you run TV.

if you are using 64 bit wamp,uninstall it and install 32 bit wamp
