Add Apache 2.4.3, PHP 5.4.11

Due to a vulnerability with Apache 2.4.2, I need to upgrade to Apache 2.4.3

If I download a new version of Apache and PHP, how can I make these available to use in wampserver?

are you using x32 or 64 before you start?

make sure you have a x64 copy if thats what you use ( apache.org dont supply x64 copies so you will need the ability to compile it yourself or wait until apachelounge.com have it)

then put it into c:\wamp\bin\apache\apache2.4.3

you need to put in a wampmanager.conf file which you can take from the 2.4.2 version.

then you need to use the httpd.conf as a template - i suggest using a "diff text editor" so you can see what needs to be changed, just look out and adjust paths accordingly

if you get stuck , just shout, i dont currently have a dev enviorment set up to build addons but i will soon

Well, the answer is incomplete.
I have added 3 new php versions. I have set httpd.conf to use 5.4.12 and also modified wampmanager.ini in all instances where the old 5.2.4 was used.
I have also added manually the new version sections, otherwise they don't appear in the aestan tray menu (latest wampservr btw).
I've done this with apache uninstalled as service and wampserver closed, just to make sure.
When I start the wampserver, it changes back the wampmanager.ini to the old values! Where the hell it takes that backup from???

Please advice more explicitly how to add new versions (apache, php and mysql) to the wampserver, showing in the menu and switching through successfully! Thank you!

Ok, the problem was we didn't know about refresh. Should be mentioned, to update the menu using refresh, each new app version folder should include the wampserver.conf file and the according DO_NOT_DELETE_x.x.x.txt file.
It didn't see the new filders until I put those 2 files.
Is this correct?

Steve,

You only mention steps for upgrading Apache to 2.4.2, but you make no mention of also upgrading PHP to 5.4.11.

Is this possible at this time?

Thanks,

Rob

One other question...

If I upgrade Apache and PHP to newer versions than what is currently released in the WAMP packages, is it possible it will break other things?

Thanks

no , its a modular format.

wamp looks for folders in the php and apache folders and adds them as a version on the menu.

the only thing is if you drastically change the versions mysql maybe not be able to talk to that version of php
