WampServer

Gd morning, i've installed wampserver on my windows 7 and it runs (the localhost page opened ) but i have a problem in reading PHP. my wampserver opened a PHP file as a text of words, number and signs
So can u help me plz?

You are probably running a script that uses short_tags

i.e. <?=$t?>

rather than <?php echo $t ?>

edit your php.ini and look for the parameter

short_open_tag = Off

and change it to On

use the wampmanager menus to edit your php.ini file to ensure you get the correct one!

wampmanager -> PHP -> php.ini

i haven't access to wampmanager, i dono where i can find this option?

wampmanager is the icon that sits in your system tray. The Green W icon.

left click on it and you will see all sorts of useful stuff.

I did it but it doesn't work, should i restart my PC? or maybe i have another problem with this?

wampmanager -> Apache -> Service -> Restart Service

OR

wampmanager -> Restart All Services

What are you putting in the address bar of firefox, it should be

http://localhost

Localhost works and it opened but it is not my problem, my problem is with :file:///C:/wamp/www/index.php
I should have a php document but wamp can't read it so i had instead the outpout

Do u have an idea about this?

If this is the PATH u are using, seems to me you are not accessing the file through your server.
I guess it should be something like this: http:// localhost/ index.php
It is spaced out so the forum wont change it to a link, so remove the blanks when using it.

Yes it's clear your not opening the file correctly

You cannot open. Php file by clicking on in.

You must access in the broswer.

When you time. Localhost you are accessin the file in. C:/wamp/www/index.php


If you want to access a different file in www use

Localhost/filename.php

If its a file it a older like www/site/page.php

Use

Localhost/site/page.php
