WampServer

i installed wamp server2 (32bit) for windows xp service pack2, but cant run the application,
error msg shows as follows;

Application error
"Exception exception in module wampmanager.exe at 000F15A0,
could not execute run action:
This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.Reinstalling the application may fix the problem.."

I have reinstalled sevaral times,there was no problem at the time of installation,but the the above error msg is showing whenever i want to start the application. plz help me out.

Excerpt from the STICKY Note at the top of the forum:

( VC++ 2008 x86 must also be installed as the WampServer menu uses libraries from it - it should be installed by default in most versions of Windows , just check Add/Remove programs to see if its listed)

I'm using windows 7 32 bit. I've installed wamp server 32-bit. I installed vc++ 2008 x86 package. But nothing changed. I'm receiving this error. pls help me.

Can you check that you downloaded the latest SP1 version of the 2008 msvc runtime please.
There is more than one version about and you need the latest, see image, latest version is 9.0.30729.6161
