Hi , I installed the latest wamp server on window 8.
And it wont turn green.
I uninstall the IIS, turn off the web deployment service, not skype running, and disable the remote Desktop as well.
There is no MS SQL Server running on services too.

Any ideas?

Thanks....

Check all of these have been uninstalled

1. IIS itself
2. Web Deploy 2.0
3. MS Sql Server Reporting service.

they are all related to IIS

If you tried to install Apache yourself, manually check that that Apache has also been properly uninstalled
wamps apache is called wampapache to differentiate it from the standard Apache in the services snapin.

If that does not do it, do the following
left click wampmanager -> Apache -> Service -> Test port 80

That should tell you what is using port 80

All IIS has been either disable and uninstalled ..
I follow ur left click on apache -> service -> test port 80

the result show was "Server : Microsoft-HTTPAPI/2.0"

IIS = disabled
Web deploy = disabled
Ms SQL service = Dont have inside "Services"

Actually does work on window 8?

I try to change the "Listen 80 to 8080 or 8090" and its turn green. But page appear to be error 404 sad smiley

Yea because you'd need to use localhost:8080 now in the browser

Just free port 80 and do things properly
