New Install of Wamp Server 2 startup error

I get a popup with the following message when I try to start the server from my desktop icon "php_mbstring.dll is missing" i'd send you a capture but there seems to be no way to do that...

Bill,

Try this.

left click on the wampmanager icon in the system tray -> PHP -> Extensions

In the menu that appears at that point, check that 'php_mbstring' has a tick by it, if not click on that line and it will activate that extension, and restart apache.

Gave it a try, the php_mbstring is checked the message still says "php_mbstring.dll is missing" and suggests reinstalling the program but reinstalls do not help....

Search your pc for php.ini and delete any that are not in the wamp directory

Mr. Martins suggestion seems to have fixed the problem. I had previously installed PHP on this system and forgot about it....
