WampServer

Hello Folks,

I have installed wamp server in my official pc which runs win xp OS
It shows three icons in task bar. First icon shows orange color and the rest two of them in pink color (when I move the mouse over it- I see WAMP Server- Offline).
Where as in first icon in orange color (When I move the mouse over it, it shows WAMP Server- Online)

Now when I click on Local Host, I get the page cannot be displayed on IE browser.
I tried restart all services and tried creating test php file under www folder, still no good.

IIS service is not seen under services as well.
Any suggestions, will be of great help!

There should only be 1 ( one ) wampmanager icon in the task bar.

I think you may have installed wamp more than once in different drive locations. That wont work. You can only have ONE wamp installed. In fact you only need one wamp installed.

Uninstall ALL 3 using the windows uninstall that comes with wamp.

Delete all the folders that you put wamp into, and then install ONE version of wamp.

I have no idea what you have done here.

If you would like some help, please install Team Viewer ( its free ) so I can connect and see exactly what you have done.

If you want to take this option send me a Private Message with the ID and Password that teamviewer gives you.
Make it a private message so you dont broadcast the password to everyone.

UNABLE TO CONNECT PHP TO MYSQL

Before we start can I ask have you got a working WAMPServer now ( ONLY ONE )


Have you removed all the 3 installed WAMPServers and re-installed only one??

Can you successfully run to localhost using the wamp manager menu item ???

Can run phpMyAdmin using the wamp manager menu item ????


Are you just having problems writing a PHP script that connects to a MySQL database?

Please be a little more descriptive about your actual problem and maybe we can help!
