I ran into a problem a couple months ago (and i lost customer) that i couldnt fix: for some strange reason wamp is not working well (can't access phpMyAdmin, nor simply preview pages in browser).
We ran into some tests with the nice persons here on this forum, and we didnt find any issue on port 80.
The only hypothesis left is IIS blocking wamp. The thing is before i put this computer on internet i was able to use wamp very fine. I really dont know what suddenly happened once i put internet on (in the beginning i purchased this computer for offline jobs only but was forced to go online bcuz the other computer crashed).
So my question: how can i make sure it is IIS the culprit, and how do i get rid of it?
Ok, i checked and IIS is not installed on vista Home Premium, so it is not the culprit. Second, i can tell it is not a port problem, but a connection problem.
I uninstalled and reinstalled WAMP 2.0 today, same problem occurs. Server shows white icon that's fine, but something forbits (ERROR 403) connecting to internet when WAMP tries to launch localhost or phpMyAdmin. Well, even though it is a local server, my computer tries to use internet to connect to the server...
How do you do the settings so that internet connection is not forbidden? Or even simpler, my computer to use other protocol but HTTP to reach WAMP ressources?
