Thank you for your quick response. I should mention I could access phpmyadmin from the local machine, just nowhere else. Sorry for the confusion. Again, not worried about security right now as this is completely internal to my company. See below for answers. I got as far as creating a site. The site is not found. If you are using WAMPServer in a LAN ( Local Area Network) then you do not need to Port Forward your router. All you do is amend the access rights in the Virtual Host to allow from all ip's in your lan, or specofoc ip's in your lan. Show us your Virtual Host and I will suggest the correct config

Hi guys I have a problem. I installed wampserver on my computer and phpmyadmin, but when i try to connect to phpmyadmin it doesn't work. It appears a message saying it is a #2002 error - something about a forbidden atempt to access a socket. I have no idea how to solve this and my teacher told me to google the answer. Sadly that is not working Hope you can help me. Thanks

Hi Jimmy - I might have the same problem as you had. Which hosts file did you change? What change did you make? Are you using a similar system configuration as I am? I just installed Wampserver 64 bit with Apache 2.4.17, PHP 5.6.16, and MySQL 5.7.9 on Windows 10 64-bit. My Wampserver icon is green. I am able to access the PHPmyAdmin page. Hello, I recently followed the tutorial for creating virtual hosts here: After going through all those steps, however, and making sure that I did every step completely, when I attempt to visit my server from the outside (via my IP adress or domain name, NOT from Localhost), I get a "forbidden: You don't have permission to access / on this server" error. How can I make this go away?

Dear all, I am getting a 'forbidden' error when I try to access my website locally using wamp server. This all worked fine until I upgraded to Windows 10. I have disabled IIS and reconfigured the hosts file as was specified in the troubleshooting post. I have also checked my httpd.conf (to the best of my ability as it is poorly formatted for some reason - no line breaks!) and all seems to

Hi everyone. I have a strange problem, I tried to update the phpMyAdmin to latest version, current 4.1.14, latest 4.5.3.1. If I copy the entire folder "phpmyadmin4.5.3.1" to .../wamp/apps/, I get the 403 Error, although I have updated the conf. files and set the correct path to the pma folder. But if just copy the new files to the old "phpmyadmin4.1.14" folder it works fine.

Hi Sledge, Well the first thing that I noticed was that you said that you have access to everything that came with the WAMPServer install i.e. the homepage/phpMyAdmin ... etc. So it was a straight forward case of installing the program, then using it! All problems you have after that are of your own making! Presumably due to lack of experience/knowledge !! Now the first thing th
