Can I ask why you are trying to install the service, it is normally done by the install. Have you looked at the windows Event Viewer. Apache reports errors there if it has problems before it can write to its error log.

Wordpress stores the domain name in its database, also some addons will also do this so it can get quite complicated. By moving from olddomain.com to localhost you have changed the domain name. If you are lucky and the site is not to complex you can usuall

Ok so that means your system has Microsoft IIS installed, they are doing that on later versions of Windows for some reason. If you are not using it you can uninstall it, and if you need to install it again later, it comes as part of the standard OS so you wont need to do anything perticularly clever. So go to Start -> Control Panel -> Programs and Features Click the 'Turn windows featur

I assume you are using the 64 bit WAMP. You will have to download a 64bit curl extension, there is one here Or go back to the 32 bit WAMP. Are you sure opencart is fully compatible with 64 bit?

If you have not port forwarded port 80 on your router then the router will not let anything into your internal network on port 80. Apache will only connect on port 80, unless you change the Listen port. If you leave wamp Offline Apache will reject any connection made from any ip other than 127.0.0.1.

You get this error when you have not started all the services and try to use the 'Put Online' menu. 1. You do not need to 'Put Online' to use wamp. 'Put Online' just changes the security so that anyone in the univers can access your site. For development and testing this is not necessary. When you 'Start All Services', what colour is your wamp manager icon in the system tray when you so th

If its not the one you currently have installed do an Uninstall of the one you have, properly from Windows Add/remove programs. Susan, Have you looked at your apache error log and also the windows event messages, apache reports in there if problems occur before it can write to its own error log. Otherwise if you want some help via Team Viewer, I am available now. Send a Private Message with an ID and PASSWORD and I will connect and have a look with you.

Please start a new thread. There is so much in this one, not sure exactly what your problem is. Specify exactly what your problem is, giving error messages, and what you do to get the error. Mention your OS Version, 32 or 64 bit. Colour of your wamp manager icon when you run wamp. Is this a new install? Has it worked before but suddenly stopped etc.

You need to close the tag <script type="text/javascript" src="../alpha/aScript.js"></script> Not sure this is a good practice though as these 2 folders should function like seperate sites and have all their resources under the same folder.
