I don't remember the last version I had of Wampserver. Is there any way to find out that? I have now the last one, 3.1.9. 64bit.

Last time, I did it in the same way and everything worked perfect. In fact, I followed the advise from this forum. I also try to log in to another site and I get this other message: Not Found The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server. Apache/2.4.39 (Win64) PHP/7.3.7 Server at festivals.test Port 80 I have no clue what's happening.

Hi, I updated Wampserver and all the programs. The icon is green and I changed the versions of the databases - I should see the log in page for wordpress when I type localhost on the search engine, but I get this message instead: Can’t select database We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the mysite database.

Eventually both sites have been updated but after lots of attempts of trying to update them. Even though, if somebody could explain me why this is happening and how to sort it, it would be very helpful for next time.

I would appreciate if you could tell me these three mouse clicks. For one site the problem it solved by itself, but for the other it's still resilient. I don't understand why every time wordpress updates shows this message errors.

This deletes the VirtualHost definition in httpd-vhosts.cont and hosts files but does not delete the files or folder. What do I have to do to delete the files and folder? I suppose If I delete the folder where I installed WordPress for my new site, it would delete the files and everything else, but I am not completely sure. I am affraid that this will be the same scenario when you install

Hi, Thanks very much, it was very helpful. I understand know how to change the name and where to go. I used to get into the configuration settings for WAMP itself by opening a new Explorer window and then clicking to each folder until to get the one you mentioned. I didn't know it was a shortcut from the Wamp icon. I could never find the file httpd-vhosts.conf. as the extension didn't contain

Hi, The ServerName is the name of the site? The path you gave me to get into the folder, inside the apache I have two folders, apache2.4.35 and apache2.4.38a. I imagine it must be the latter, isn't it? I don't know why I have two. Which one I have to change, the first or the second? Can I change the name for the localhost site in this folder? I pasted the code I found. # Virtual Hosts

Hi, Thanks a lot for your replies. I just want to clarify that I dind't use localhost for my other sites. Fortunately, I remembered the URL for my other site and I am using it every time I want to access to my back end for WordPress. I didn't get the hang of your explanations. I used Virtualhost though to create it. I downloaded Wordpress into a folder on my computer, then I created a database

Hi, I was trying to set up multiple Wordpress sites under Wamp. I created another site but I can't see the Wordpress log in page that normally appears when you log in under localhost/mysite/wp-admin. I can see the new site because when I use the new URL or clicking WampSer icon> Your VirtualHost, I can see the page, but I can't access to the back end. How can I access to the back end of m

I didn't update Mariadb and MySql yet, as I don't know if will affect my website. The important reminder below MariaDB made me hesitate. How should I update them? I found PhpSysInfo at aviatechno.net and I checked my wampserver and I don't have it. What's that? Do I need to install it too? Thanks

Ok, thanks. I thought when I would update Wampserver, it will update automatically Apache/PHP/MySQL/mariadb. I also have to update all these versions. Do I have to do the same as for Wampserver, going to the addons section? If so, I am running x64, Do I have to download both 32 and 64? I guess the last version is always at the bottom, the one has the big number, isn't it?

Hi, So let me see if I understood right: If I want to update my WampServer I have to go to wampserver.aviatechno.net/ and then on the wampserver updates I have to click to the 3.1,7 and run it. Is that right? I won't need update anything else aside?

Hi, this is the first time I will update Wampserver and although I checked the wampserver.aviatechno page I still have lots of doubts. I started building my website and I don't know how to back up my files, hence I am a wee bit concerned about uninstalling my old version of Wampserver (3.1.4). Could anybody explain me how I can back up my files, please. What happens with all the plugins and them

Hi RiggsFolly, No I didn't but I've just realised that my current activated theme had updates. I sorted the problem already. I guessed that I had to deactivate it to allow first the Wordpress' update. I am new on this, so I didn't know that some updates are forced just like windows 10, or at least, it's a sort of like that. At the moment, I am still building my website so I didn't come across

Hi Otomatic, Note ++ is the version I downloaded today (7.5.9) ? How do I install Wampserver at the root of a partition? When I installed WAMP I just followed the wizard assistant. Hi, I am trying to install Wamp server and I am using the Troubleshoot list as a guidance. I am stuck on some items and I would like to get some piece of advice on that. In item 9 when I open host file I see this: # 127.0.0.1 localhost ::1 localhost On item 9, it says I should delete any # symbol. I opened host using Notepad but it seems that is an older version so I can't delete anything,

Hi Otomatic, I downloaded this version: All Visual C++ Redistribuable Packages (x86_x64) (32 & 64bits). I had to install them one by one. There weren't any automatic setup. Some, I couldn't install them. It didn't show me any error only pointed out that another new version was already installed and I had to fix it. Unfortunately, it didn't give any reference so no clue.I deleted all VC++ pa

Hi Otomatic, Thanks for your answer although I managed to sort it, or at least, WAMP is running so far. My problem now is I can't log in to my WordPress Admin Dashboard. Hi guys, I recently downloaded WAMP. I installed it on my WIN10 and I had lots of problems. The icon is green but I can't connect to my local host. It shows me a white page with the message; HTTP ERROR 404 page not found. To turn the icon green I changed ports in Apache going to Wamp server -> Apache -> httpd.conf using 8080 instead of the default 80. I also downloaded the last version o
