lol ok ok I understand. :-) I was just frustrated at the time apologies. Win7, 32 bit Fresh Intall Wamp 3 All VC Dists. App and shortcut, Run as Administrator D/Wamp No Antivirus, no skype port forwarding settings from previous wamp installation that worked for 3 years in tact firewall settings in tact. 3 x Virtual Hosts, each one on a separate partition, E, F and G.

That's all I get. I've followed every bit of advice I can find to get my pages to load and nothing. Allow All this and Allow All that. This worked for me in one forum, and that worked for me in that forum. :-/ I can't get it to work and I've been using the older versions for years. freespirit

Hi Riggs.. Apologies for the delay in replying, long shift today. I followed your instructions and they were spot on. You were absolutely right, it was an error in the vhosts file which i had missed but did not know that windows event viewer could be so specific by giving the line number in the file, i was well impressed, forgive my ignorance.. I was happily working on a few of my sites, updated a couple of plugins, edited my virtual host file, restarted wamp, and it is stuck on orange. Localhost won't load and myphpadmin won't load. Hi Amir, I had my drives bitlocked. The drives have to be open in order for wamp to use them. After the power failure, the drive went back to being in a locked state and wamp could not access it. When I unlocked the drive, wamp went back to green. Probably not what you were looking for but I hope this will be useful to someone. kind regards free

Hi Steve, I launched wamp to view the mysql log but before I did, I made a backup copy of the wamp folder. During the copy process, I got an error message to say that it could not copy file X\wamp\bin\mysql\mysql5.6.12\data autumn.pid (autumn being the name of the server) because the file was missing. Hi Riggsfolly, this is what i am talking about, all of that is done already... even on WP when I set permalinks, it says succeeded but when i launch the page it says not found. This "LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so" was unhashed already as was this " AllowOverride All"... i'm stumped.

Hello, I have the same problem and get the same error message "Not Found The requested URL /mysite/about was not found on this server." mod rewrite is already checked and my permalinks still don't work. The .htaccess file is in the same folder as my wp mysite but wamp is on a different drive. Would that cause the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ive read closely vhosts setup on here and on other sites and attempted several times, but keep making mistakes and as a result have had to take sites offline.
