Yes many thanks for the help and advice. Yes on the hosted site the server is set to 'Globals off' in fact they are going to PHP 5.3 in a blink, so we also have that issue ahead as well with the oscommerce sites, that is why I am using WS to try and sort those codes out. Many thanks.. If I only want to use WS as a test server with no access to the outside, I would just set them up in their own dirs..correct? oz :-)

Hi, I get this message from an oscommerce site I have loaded into a dir in www. FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it! I have noticed there are 2 pip.ini in the site. One in the main 'shop' dir where the index.php is, and another in a subdir. Both actually say Globals is On. Thanks oz

Thanks.. Did that and there she blows.. I treid to get my inbdex.php file in my catalog dir to happen, but just a blank. What would be the reasons for this? Permissions? Thanks oz

Hi, I am using XP and Firefox and no servers or anything which may conflict. I have just installed WS but cannot get it to work. It shows a yellow patch on the tray and says it is Online. I have a folder www/catalog/ with an index.php file in it but I get this.. When entering in the browser or even click 'localhost' in the menu, I get this message.. I have no idea why it mea

Hi, I am sorry to do this to you as i know the answer is sure enough in the blog link, yet as a dumb a I can't quite get it. I have setup wamp and have put my site's public_html folder and files in the www dir. Went to localhost and 127.0.0.1and get the message.. 403 Forbidden You don't have permission to access I do not wsih to have this as a server uisng a dom name or IP number,

I have so far created several public_html (public_html-1, 2, 3 etc) folders with each site in them and the html pages seem to work fine. Are there things which I need to know about which will not work this way? So far I have not used a php site with dbase Thanks oz :-)

Hi, I am new to WAMP but excited I have found it. I am a web creator and host webmaster and would like a copy of all my linux sites in my wamp setup. I know it is really a one site setup, however is there a way I can have several domain sites with the one wamp set up or do I have to have a wamp set up for every domain name I want to set up. All my sites are in their own public_html folde
