Hello tnt_massar, The following was taken from a DynDNS forum "how-too" section 4. You may wish to review the entire "how-too". "Now, before you configure your port forwarding there may be a problem. Some routers will not actually forward traffic on the same port as their administrative interface uses, even though they'll happily let you set that up. If this app

Then all querys to your domain name will resolve to your network IP (Public WAN IP). Second you need to make sure your network gateway (your router) allows access to the network (firewalls?) AND forwards the proper ports

Hello bill3281, I don't think you really want to run a DNS Server on your network. I believe that the registrar for your domain already offers the services you seek. See this link: Also check out yfastud's quide for the 'How too': There are also other dynamic DNS providers. No-IP.com, DynDNS.com for a couple more besides ZoneEdit and namecheap. regards...

For what it is worth... Using a WampServer 2.0i stack: Displays properly in IE8 Displays the line of PHP code in FF 3.6.17 WampServer components don't know which browser is being used. Therefore, if it ever displays properly, then the problem is NOT the WampServer stack. It appears to be browser sensitive. regards...

I would advise against doing that. Confusion would reign over ports, default directories, config files, etc. Others may be able to give exact details of why it is not a good idea. or they may have examples of it working. But I would not want to attempt it. regards...

I do not run Win7. But the hosts file should be in the same place. Make sure your Win 7 does not hide system folders and files. see here: If the file HOSTS is truly missing, then I might suggest that you copy the lmhosts.sam file to a file named HOSTS (no extension) in the same folder. Of course the file HOSTS should have the changes described in the instructions. regards...
