I'm running XP SP2 WAMP is installed at the root of my C:\ drive

I didn't disable windows firewall but I did allow the MySQL application access. I will double-check the settings though. The thing is, it just won't install at all. Nothing happens at all when I click the install MySQL menu item.

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else already. OK, so I've just installed WAMP5. Apache install went fine and it appears to be working. Tried to install the MySQL service from the menu. Nothing happened at all. I then clicked on the MySQL console menu option. It asked for a password and I just pressed enter. The computer beeped and something flashed on the console although I could
