Good afternoon, I have had wamp working fine for quite some time, I mailnly use dreamweaver with php/mysql. I have install the wamp server last year, and all is working fine, I normally do not use my local phpmyadmin, I use my remote copy with my web host. But now would like to try some things and need to use my local copy. I am not sure if this error message is because I have used a pw when installed or what, and do not remeber if I did or what it is, Is there a file I can go into to see pw or change

Thx again, but I think we are on two different ideas, A few years ago I was working through David Powers Dreamweaver 8 book, in the book of tutorials, there was 1 that you made a feed back form and then testing it using your localhost you would receive an email of the feedback form. good morning, durning the istallation at this point it ask for Please specify the SMTP server and addresse mail to be used by PHP when using the function mail(). SMTP localhost (what they show) email you@yourdomain (what they show) My question is, what should I be putting there, please be specific as this is new to me Thx for your help

what I don't understand, if I make a contact.php page and want to test the page before putting on my host server. isn't there a way that I will receive the contact form in my email, I had this set up before using apache, php, ? thx

I have server working fine for viewing on local host, but when i i try and send email from a contact page I receive error Warning: mail() : Failed to connect to mailserver at "mail.fantasyracein.com" port 25, verify your "SMTP" and "smtp_port" setting in php.ini or use ini_set() in C:\wamp\www\fantasy2009\contact.php on line 58 any ideas, thx
