WampServer

I just checked something which should not have worked, which is my ip address. When connected to it via http, it all seems to work - so I guess the problem is in whatever is managing the localhost/ip alias, isn't that the hosts file? I am getting confused...

WAMP says all services running, no errors, server online and when connecting to nothing happens. I use win xp and have no other sql or apache-wa'sha'ma'callits installed. Any help appreciated
