I just installed Wampserver2.2e and got the blank localhost screen when I tried to access it. I used the Test port 80 in the Apache>Service menu of the WAMP icon and found that WOS Web Dav was also using port 80, which Apache defaults to upon installation. It took two hours for me to find that the Nuance Cloud Connector program was the culprit. I installed this program when I installed Omni

I have the same Version of WAMP installed on two different machines - a desktop and a laptop. If I create/modify a MySQL database on the desktop, will those changes be moved to the laptop if I copy the desktop WAMP folder to the laptop WAMP folder? Lowell

I still have version 2.0c installed on my XP machine, and the Apache version is displayed. However, I noticed on my Vista machine with version 2.0f, the Apache version is not displayed. There's a line displayed instead. Lowell

I uninstalled wampserver2.0f, deleted the WAMP folder on my hard drive after saving my data, removed the WAMP registry key (I forgot to note its location) and rebooted. I then reinstalled wampserver2.0f and all

I solved it. The error was due to the code $encoded_email = urlencode($_POST['user_name']); urlencoding places the %40 in the recipient EM address so that it reads myusername%40bellsouth.net. Email now works as expected. Lowell

I'm using this strictly as a development platform on my PC right now. I will transfer it to a live web server, once i have everything working on the development platform. I do have code to scrub the form input I'll get when the site goes live. I've tried setting php.ini but I get an error message. Here is how I have the set in php.ini, with the private stuff replaced by generic terms: ;

Does anyone know if the fake sendmail server at is safe to use? I'm new to sending email via the PHP mail function, but I have discovered it doesn't work with WAMP unless I also have a sendmail server.
