its a configuration option in the way PHP handles script, it may also be due to most PHP scripts being written for the well trusted PHP4 instead of WAMP5s PHP5.

Actually a Windows system has less security since it can not CHMOD, u are kinda stuck at 7777 or somethin.

Hi, I have installed and operated a WAMP myself before. I am testing WAMP5 due to the fact that it dramatically cuts down on the hassle of configuring each component seperately. My problem is that I am trying to use a different port other than 80, I have set it in the httpd.conf as I usually do with Apache, then retstart services.
