No! The only add-ons I ever did installed are: Apache2 Optimizer PHP 4.3.1 and that's it. Do you think that if I uninstall, delete each file and folder left manually and then deleting any reference from the registry manually might help me overcome this? Do I risk anything by deleting keys referring to WAMP on my system's registry?

Nope. There is no htaccess files in the root. The 'herman' directory was deleted when I did the uninstall/ reinstall process, although, apparently some config files were kept. As for mod-rewrite, I don't think am using it since I don't know what it is or what it does! ;o) Any recommendations?

I've been running and using Wamp for a while and everything worked flawlessly until yesterday. I manually started Wamp but I was unable to access my localhost due to an error. I assumed this had to do with some incompatibility due to the ever-increasing patches and fixes that windows installs all the time, so proceeded to remove my installation and download and install the latest version but upo
