No. With the old WAMP (WAMP 5), it would start up by itself. Why did they change it? That's just stupid.

I forgot to mention that I also have SP3. When Windows starts, the two wamp services are running (wampapache & wampmysqld), but the tray icon isn't. I have to go to my Start menu and click the "start wampserver" shortcut that WAMP placed there after installation, and only then will the tray icon pop up.

Yes I have tried that and it didn't change anything. It still will not show the icon on startup. I have to do it manually. I don't get any warning on startup either. When I was running vista there was only one account; mine. I'm not using vista anymore though. I'm on XP Pro now and I still have the same problem.

ASNet0007, have you tried running wampmanager.exe? It still doesn't fix the problem at startup, though.

Hey guys. The old WAMP (5) used to automatically start the tray icon when the operating system was started; but now, with the new WAMP (2.0), I need to manually start "start wampserver" every time I want the tray icon to show. It's very annoying. I have set both of the wamp services to start automatically but it hasn't changed anything. The server is running in the background but
