I have the same problem! I thought it was because i was trying to run on a different port other than 80 but seems not. However, i managed to disabled IIS and when itest port 80 it says no servcie is using the port. So why won't apache start! Like you i have no firewall blocking it, no skype etc, WAMP just doesnt seem to like me anymore...

HI, i still havent had any luck. I have tried a variety of ports and still nothing. Some people at work have said that as long as it doesnt try to make a connection to the world outside the WAN, it should work. Could it be where i have installed it? I installed it into the default installation path. I also tried the guide posted below and no luck. Tried using ports 80, 81 and 8080. A

erm. I have msn installed. but not running. Some of the restarts would have been by me. restarting it when i change the settings. Skype is not installed. Windows firewall is enabled. But i have told it to allow access for WAMP and opened port 81 for TCP and UDP Firewall is the only thing that i can think of... mark

Hi There all. I have used WAMP before on my XP machine and it worked fine. However i have just tried to install the new Wampserver 2.0 on a Vista Laptop and have come across a major problem.
