Nothing is wrong. How did you configure your Apache Server? Is it only serving "localhost"? Localhost, as the name says is only accessible from localhost. You need to set your apache server to serve your real hostname, such as mymachine.example.com. Not sure if this a configuration that can be achieved or becomes a feature request. I have a few projects that need certain combinations of apache/php/mysql. I love the ability to switch between the various versions. However, I have some combination that does not work with each other triggering an error. For example I can't configure the PHP 4.3.9 with Apache 2.2.6, but only with Apache 1.3
