WampServer

I really hope someone has the patience to explain this to me. I just downloaded WAMP and have been trying to open it but when I try to pull up localhost I get prompted for a username and password. I have tried looking for the answer but most seem to assume I have access to localhost to go in and set passwords. I have gone into dreamweaver and looked at the code but I'm not sure I am doing it c
