I turned the computer on one day and I could not log in to virtual sites. I received an error that the tables are locked. I would like to know how it happened and how to unlock them.

Every day the results are different. I'm so damn frustrated. I re-installed wamp. added vhosts and have green light. PHP log empty. "a" PHP file? I installed Wamp x64 in win7 ultimate and it was ready to go. My problem is virtual hosts. I suggest you install it again and then use Revounistaller (free) to uninstall it, selecting the aggressive mode to clean the registry. They do a new install. I read someplace to install it on a drive other than drive c:\

You need to setup port forwarding in your router. If you can't figure it out from the router manual, go to the forum for your router forum.

Thanks Steve I did not install separately. I used Wamp. I find it odd I can read php and localhost not working. Sen a time that works for you.

Everything has worked fine since early may. Now 1 of the 4 vhosts quit. The httpd-vhosts.conf and hosts files look ok. The apache error log looks the same for all the vhosts. Ok, take me into deeper water!!!! Disabling virtual hosts allows Apache to run normal, If I know what normal is. Hooray! Thanks 4 responding, yfastud I assume by a backup u mean copies of httpd.conf, hosts and httpd-vhosts.conf or any other files edited. I did get Apache running. Then I killed it!!
