wow, I think I just found the solution here: It seems by changing 'localhost' to '127.0.0.1' it works! Here's a reference to the issue, "Binding to localhost throws exception":

Hi. I created the following alias: . It targets a specific folder, let's say, C:/dev/sites/ When I echo $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] it prints the default wamp localhost folder, C:/wamp/www/ instead. How do I make $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] target my alias folder instead, C:/dev/sites/? Thanks in advance, Tiago

Hi. In Windows XP, WampServer is automatically installed as a service at startup. Unfortunately in Windows Vista I have to 'manually' initiate it by clicking 'Start WampServer' in the WampServer program folder. How do I make it start automatically in Vista? Thanks in advance, T.
