WampServer

I'm currently running WAMP5 (V1.7.4) with PHP 5.2.5 and i'm trying to get the GD extensions to work. I've checked the php_gd2.dll file exists and is in the php/ext folder, i've uncommented the line in the php.ini file and restarted the web server, when I run a check script it returns an error saying the GD library and gd php extension is not installed. Any advice please!
