I'm back! As a last ditch effort I thought I would have nothing to lose by attempting to install the 32 bit version of WAMP. The install was as smooth as ice and so far it's running perfectly. Happy to be back.

I followed every step (I didn't see the other few steps where Windows 10 was mentioned), still the same error. As far as installing all those VC packages, I went to each of those download pages and Microsoft did not list Windows 10 as a requirement. So as I see it they are not compatible with my OS. I appreciate your help, but after so many years of using WAMP (thank you for that), this is t

I'm getting this same error when I try to start WAMP after a clean install of Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. First, I installed the two files as directed, and in the order as they were listed below. Then I installed wampserver3.0.4_x64_apache2.4.18_mysql5.7.11_php5.6.19-7.0.4.exe ----------------------------- Windows 10, Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2003 Serv

I'm working on a web site and it uses .shtml extensions instead of the regular .htm/.html. When I preview the pages from my editor I see the source code in my browser rather than a normal web page. Any ideas what to check? I do have in the head of the documents: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /> Thanks!

I downloaded the php version 5.2.11 addon but can't seem to get it to run. I select it in the php version list but when I do a phpinfo() it still reads version 5.3. I've restarted the server several times. Any ideas? wamp 2.0

Ah thanks. I thought I had the right one, but I guess I didn't. It turned out I was only missing post_max_size but I added it. So I restarted the services and still am getting an error when importing a 20mb sql file. This is the error I get: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceeded in C:\wamp\apps\phpmyadmin2.11.6\libraries\import\sql.php on line 118 I have max execution

I tried that to but keeping my older version for fear of breaking something or conflicting something but unfortunately it didn't help in my case.
