WampServer

I have a Windows program that sends and receives a XML file to/from a Server PHP script. For testing i need to duplicate that configuration on my Win 10 PC that houses the win application plus Wamp where the php scrip resides in localhost. The hosts file contains a entry for the server name an it points to my localhost. I cannot seem to make the connection work and i do not know where to look f
