Hi. I also have the same problem. I change the password for root user and then edited config.inc.php. After restarting all services and looking for problem all the time result is the same - #1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) howeever for me it looks quite strange that password in config.inc.php looks like I typed it not like 'xxxxxxxx'.
