I am trying to be absolutely certain that I have installed my local site correctly in a virtual host, since this appears to be so important. I initially set up the site using the sticky "Wampserver 3 Create a Virtual Host, the easy way". I have also read through the sticky "The Need for Virtual Hosts", and worked my way through it, checking all the files that the sticky says

I am trying to find instructions on how to view my wordpress website, set up on my Windows 7 PC within Wamp Localhost, on my Android phone. I need to be able to test what it looks like on a mobile device before uploading it to the live site. This is my first ever website and I am finding it all very confusing. When I try to install Wordpress, it says that it is unable to establish a connection with the database I created through phpmyadmin in WampServer. I have tried to find any possible solutions from the

Thanks for the reply. However, the problem I'm describing is that I have installed, uninstalled and installed again the 64 bit package several times, and the checking utility still says that it is not installed. That's what the problem is, and I can't work out what to do about it.

I am trying to get WampServer working along with Wordpress on my PC. So far I'm not having much luck. I am unable to get Wordpress to be able to establish a database connection with the database I created through phpmyadmin in WampServer. I have been unable to locate any fixes from the Wordpress side of things, so I have been searching for any faults in the WampServer installation. The only anoma
