A quick update. WAMP now seems to be exiting as expected, so not sure what was going on! For now the issue seems to be resolved.

I'm running 64bit WAMP 3.2.3 on Windows 10 version 20H2 I noticed a couple of days ago that when I exit WAMP I am still able to access localhost and view the websites I've created locally. Also, I can still access the WordPress admin dashboards and make changes etc., If I shut down and reboot, I can still access everything in the localhost. Only clicking restart requires me to have to start

I've just spotted there is a later version of WAMP. I'll try and upgrade to that and see what happens!

I'm running WAMP 3.2.2 64 bit. I was running PHP 7.2.10 but some time ago installed PHP 7.4.6 I've just noticed that I am unable to update any themes or plugins in WordPress installs. When checking Site Health it states "The optional module, curl, is not installed, or has been disabled". I have installed PHP 7.4.9, but get the same issue with curl being reported missing or disable

Many thanks for the info. My knowledge of PHP is limited, so I don't have the expertise that you and other forum users have. I use WAMP to build and test Wordpress sites before putting them in a live environment. So my involvement with php in recent years has been negligible, to say the least. I pay for a managed hosting service as I thought they would tale care of that end of things. From

Many thanks for your help. It is much appreciated. I wasn't aware of the PHP 7.4.6 addon. I just went to the download page for the latest version. The site I tested is using the latest version of Wordpress, although some of the sites I have in Wamp are older versions. I can switch back to earlier versions of PHP in Wamp and everything works well, so I haven't broken anything. So does

Hello, I am trying to update my WampServer 3.1.4 64bit with the latest version of PHP 7.4.6 but I must have missed a step as I am getting a fatal error when trying to view any of the sites. I have created a folder in Wamp64/bin/php called php7.4.6 I've then downloaded version 7.4.6 and extracted contents to my new folder. I've copied over three files to this folder from version 7.2.10

Yes, that's probably the case. Microsoft have been the bane of my life since 1988. Thanks for the screenshot and advice.

Many thanks for the links. I downloaded the VC++ checker, and it reports that 12 packages are not installed on my PC that are needed. However, my WAMP runs fine, so the report doesn't seem to be accurate at the moment.

@RiggsFolly, Yes, I also have drive D:/ and drive E:/ physical drives. @Otomatic, Ok, understood. I'll just copy my sites. Create new databases and import database files for each site. It looks like the 64bit version of Wamp now only needs Visual Studio 2012 VC 11 vcredist_x64/86.exe installed? Is that correct? My previous 32bit version needed lots of versions of Visual Studio.

I'm currently using Wamp64 Version 3.1.3. In a few days I will be doing a fresh install of Windows 10 and reinstalling all my software. I am planning on installing Wamp64 Version 3.1.4, but would also like to reinstate my current projects. If after install wamp, I copy and replace wamp64/www and wamp64/bin from my existing install, will that be enough to get my projects and databases available

Hi, I've been using Wamp 2.5, 32 bit version for quite a while, but have just switched to WampServer 3.1.3 64 bit. on Windows 10 Pro. The Wamp works fine, but each time I start the software, I get a brief flash of a black window, which never used to happen with the 32 bit version. I was running Win 10 version 1803, but have just rolled back to a disk image of V.1607. I've carried out
