Looks like 8081 did the trick. Is there a way to set the browser to default to when I open it via WAMP?

I've made the change to be port 8080 but it still didn't work. I did change both Listen and ServerName. I then exited WAMP and restarted and the status states this: "1 of 2 services running" Normally it will show that all services are running. Am I missing something else? Here's the newly text of the changed port via the httpd.conf file: Listen 8080 ServerName localho

I have WAMP5 and when I installed it a few years ago I had to uninstall IIS or else WAMP would not work. I am now contemplating about upgrading to WampServer2 and wondered if it can reside along with IIS? (of course as seperate entities) Thanks.

I solved the problem which was not a problem really. Normally, when you open web pages via local server, it uses . Since the EZ software license is for 127.0.0.1 and not 'localhost', I merely opened the site using [127.0.0.1] and managed to get the key number to verify.

I used that method which is the only way to do it because this EZ Realty is an upgrade package for an existing EZ Realty install. I should have stated that earlier but I didn't. I will have to check with EZ Realty support to see if the key.php can be manually created. Otherwise, I am still open to any other possibility.

I will be as clear as possible. I'm using WAMP5 1.7.1 for over a year now doing many test sites with databases with on of them being Joomla. I am using a component called EZ Realty with Joomla. EZ Realty uses a license key to verify that the software is used for the domain that it is licensed for. I have licenses for the 'localhost' and 127.0.0.1 for testing on my local machine. Upon

That doesn't work. I don't think the password for MySQL Console is the same as the one for phpmyadmin.

For the life of me, I cannot recall what my login password is for the MySQL Console. I can access everything else (phpmyadmin, sqlitemanager). I don't ever recall using the Console but after reading the User Guide, i want to check a few things out. Any suggestions?

FINALLY ! I reallize that I deleted the 'root'@'localhost' instead of just creating a password. I remembered that I had another user listed that had full access and I remembered the username and password. So I had to edit the config.inc.php file to add that username and password and BINGO! I am back in the saddle again! BOY! I LOVE THE SUPPORT HERE! Thanks for all your wonderful help! Wha

I love talking to myself. Well, I thought I managed to figure out what I needed to do and so I did it by adding a password to the 'root'@'localhost' user. I gave it a password and at the bottom where it said 'Create new user and blah blah blah... and I chose delate and remove old user. Now, yes...that's right...another problem. Now, here's the new error and I know I am lost at what to do wit

Ok. I had another .htaccess in another folder that was causing some of the errors. Still, I have one last error that is bugging me like crazy. In the phpmyadmin area, it gives this warning at the bottom: ------------------------------------------------------------------ Your configuration file contains settings (root with no password) that correspond to the default MySQL privileged account. I found the problem. I forgot that I added an .htaccess file to the phpmyadmin folder for Joomla. (Don't ask me why). Now I am able to access phpmyadmin but now I have a new problem that I have never seen before: -------------------------------------------------------------------- Cannot load mysqli extension. Please check your PHP configuration. - Documentation Your configuration file contain

I was able to access the web sites from the second local computer by using the IP address. However, the following may or may not have any relations to WAMP but I have two Joomla installed on my computer. One is Joomla 1.0.12 version and the other is Joomla 1.5 version. Both version work perfectly on the WAMP server computer. However, the second computer acessing the WAMP server is a different

I've installed WAMP5 successfully and it works without a hitch. Is it possible to allow a second computer that is networked together with my computer using a Linksys router to view any web sites that I manage under the 'www' folder? In detail, I want to be able for the second computer to access any web sites that I have listed on my WAMP server (localhost or www folder) to view as a normal web p
