Does this mean I have to go to c drive and find config file in wamp and look for it. Do I just insert my new password ? phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in config.inc.php and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server. Error MySQL said: Do

I am receiving this message at the bottom of my phpMyAdmin: Your configuration file contains settings (root with no password) that correspond to the default MySQL privileged account. Your MySQL server is running with this default, is open to intrusion, and you really should fix this security hole. Open new phpMyAdmin window What is the procedure to correct? russ

I am still having an issue with changing the passwords and accessing this file: config.inc.php. When I bring it up, it says at the top Do Not Edit this file, edit config.inc.php instead. Will somebody let me know what is going on here. There is no other conifg.inc.php file that I can find. Should I go ahead and edit that file anyways? russ

Ok, I seem to be having a problem locating where I change the password in phpmyadmin. I followed the manual and succesfully installed password for mySql, then per manual attempted to locate: c:\wamp\phpmyadmin\config.inc.php and search came back with no results. So I then went and did a search for $cfq['Servers'][#i}{'Password']=' '; and still no sucess. As you probably know, I cannot access p
