Thanks for your continued efforts Oto! Just so you know, I tried the Windows UserCRT package and Windows would not allow a single one to be installed. ALL the other VC packages are installed. I also copied the PHP code into the page you gave me and it did not help. All behaved as it did before. I can get localhost to show me its two folders, my site and an install of wordpress 4.7.4.

That may be Oto but it stops me cold. I can't get past that error. It won't load. But it does exist on that page - <?php /** * The main template file. * * This is the most generic template file in a WordPress theme * and one of the two required files for a theme (the other being style.css). * It is used to display a page when nothing more specific matches a query. * E.g., it

Riggs, Thanks for your reply. I restarted WAMP and saw no errors for Apache or Access (access). I did find the same error in the PHP error log - [27-Apr-2017 00:41:26 UTC] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:/wamp/bin/php/php5.5.12/ext/php_intl.dll' - The specified module could not be found. in Unknown on line 0 [27-Apr-2017 00:41:26 UTC] PHP Warning:

Dominique, I installed as administrator only wamp 2.5 and my WP site, however I can't sign in. I've followed all the instructions and have a green icon. Every time I try to access localhost I get an fatal error to the call stack at line 15 in index.php. Any help would be appreciated. Merci.

Greetings: I've just recently acquired and installed Windows 10 Pro x64, installed WAMP 2.5 x32 and was happy to see a green icon! Not looking a gift horse in the mouth I installed my WordPress 4.7.3 website (version at the time I used Duplicator to copy it) and it didn't work. It hangs on an error reported on line 15 of my index.php file. Now I read that when running x64 Windows I need

G'day: I pretty much rectified my situation by creating another database and using it. For some reason I used my dumb thumbs the first time, which got me a botched product and my smart thumbs the second time - because it works just fine. I consulted the all wonderful Youtube and found how to delete a troublesome database and will do that next start up on that machine. Thanks for your goo

Greetings: I am attempting to get a fresh install of WAMP and Wordpress up and running but received the error listed in my Subject line. Not only that but I checked the PHP error log and found this, "c:/wamp/bin/php/php5.5.12/ext/php_ldap.dll" There are other errors listed having to do with this: [21-Apr-2016 01:17:49 UTC] PHP Stack trace: [21-Apr-2016 01:17:49 UTC] PHP 1.

That makes 2 of us. It was the only error present and had nothing to do with WAMP server (or so it seems). I was just posting what I found in case someone thought it important to help get Apache going. Thanks your continued help.

I read the file having to do with setting up the Virtual Host and learned a lot. I had no idea it was so simple. I followed the examples and changed all the files mentioned. I set up a Virtual Host for an MCS site I had and couldn't bring it up. I still can't get to bring up the local host or phpMyAdmin pages. So I'm still at a loss to get WAMP up and running. I'll also double check my edi
