I just tested it with the same version 5.5.24 and still does the same, do you think it will be possible to try and recover the database? or will this not help getting the wampsqld service to start?

Before the system crashed the following versions was installed: Wamp 2.2 mysql 5.5.24 Getting a error on wampsqld service: "Windows could not start the wampsqld service on Local Computer Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly". Any idea what this could be since the versions are quite updates to the ones you thought it was?

Okay so the MYSQL version will be 5.1.8 and wampserver 2.5. The PC we used this database had a unexpected power failure due to load shedding. I then used a temporary database so that my client can continue using his weighbridge. But before that I made a backup of the data folder where most of the important data is saved.
