Is the warning about PHP 64 bit in "Wampserver 3 all you need to know" still warranted? If not it should be removed.

I have read the suggested item again and think I have modified all the related files: httpd.conf, httpd-vhosts.conf, HOSTS, and php.ini to conform with its requirements I have loaded them into dropbox you can check to see if I have done it correctly. I am still getting the forbidden page if I try to access the phptesting server from another PC on the same LAN. What can I do next?

I have installed Wampserver 3.0.4 successfully and have tested some simple PHP files. I want to be able to view these files from different devices all on my LAN. I have viewed many pages of hints and tips as to how to allow access to the Wampserver installation files. Some of these do not appear to refer to the my versions of Apache, PHP or MySQL. Problem solved. It would appear that my moving the desktop icon to the start menu did not transfer the "run as administrator" option I had chosen.

WampServer icon appears in tray briefly, is GREEN but then disappears. Show the hidden icons does not show the WampServer ICON. How do you control WampServer when this happens?

Thanks for the info. I note that you are running 3.0.4. Where do you get the update to 3.0.4 from 3.0.0? I would have thought that a fresh install from WampServer.com would not have needed to have the php_mysqli checking and work first time. Did I miss something in the long instructions for installing? I have uninstalled WampServer 3.0.0 64bit using the documented method and installed WampServer 3.0.0 32 bit after reading the forum entry which says that 64bit PHP is "experimental". The installation appears to be working, Icon is GREEN but trying to access localhost/testmysql.php reults in a n error message which says Fatal error: Class 'mysqli' not found in C:\wamp\www\testmysql.php

No it is not a domain. I was referring to a virtual machine, vbxwa2 (made a mistake earlier quoting vbxwA1) running Win 10 running WAMPServer and hosting the my-site website. It responds to http: //localhost/my-site correctly from the vbxwA2 IE and Edge. There is no response to other machines (VM or Real) to trying to access http: //vbxwA2/my-site or http: //192.168.1.10/my-site (vbxwA2 IP is 19

I am still in difficulty getting an answer to my question. I think I should be able to access the Apache running in vbxwA2 from any of the other machines in the LAN by using http: //vbxwa2/websitename or http: //192.168.1.10/websitename. All the machines are on the same subnet and are part of a workgroup. Why does it not work?

Yes that is a good clue. A pity that it did not work. There must be some other config file modification that I need to make. I run the Wampserver in a Win 10 Virtual Machine (virtualbox) and from other VMs try, using IE . Am I still doing it wrong?

I have noted that PHP have released PHP 5.6.2. How do you upgrade WampServer from 5.5.12 to 5.6.2? I am interested in that PHP 5.6 contains a method to debug PHP code interactively. phpdbg

When I first started WAMP server I got a pop-up saying that the intranet settings had not been set with two options I resisted for a while but got impatient and clicked on the setup intranet button. I do not know what has been changed I can still use the 'localhost' from the VM browser. How can I check what that click did and how can I reverse it?
