Hi all. This can't be difficult for you guys. I've found my virtual hosts work perfectly if they are in /wamp64/www/website. However, if I house them in any other directory wamp fails to access them. Is this normal or do I need to tweek wamp so it will also work outside wamp? I've checked the vhost and it seems fine.

Otomatic. Everything is uptodate on my system. Did SFC right at the beginning. I had removed all anti virus but hadn't used their own tool. Have now. I'm going to try using Xampp just to check if it's something other than Wamp. Will report any update.

Otomatic I must have done that dozens of times. Even rebooted my PC MANY times. Reinstalled WAMP many times including different ver. I've removed all anti-virus programs. It's really strange I had to kill a service httpd and restart that service for WAMP to run. At least that has stopped. I tried allowing links on the home page, but no luck there. I'm at a loss with this one.

Otomatic I've done that numerous times. The good news though. I deleted all the log files as advised, removed WAMP and deleted an reference in the registry. Also removed ALL C++ that I could find. Reinstalled WAMP and all C++ It's now been running without the original problem occuring again. Fingers crossed. Unfortunately I now seem to have generated a new problem. I'll start a differ

Hi all. I've had Ver 3.3.5 x64 running for a while now, but it's got a weird problem I can't figure out. When I use either the URL or IP address of my server it's looks fine. I runs the index file as it should. However, If I try to access another file it fails. For example I type my URL of my site I get the home page. If I type for example "home page/test" or "home pag

Hello again RiggsFolly. I have to admit I’m a plonker. I’ve managed to discover that the problem is with my ISP and not WAMP. If I go direct to my IP there is no issue. However, when I go through my ISP the problem happens everytime. Thanks for helping

Thanks for replying to my question RiggsFolly. I'm not 100% confident that my issue is down to WAMP, which has worked for a long time without issue. I'm asking the question to see if anyone has come across this before. As I said, when I upload my site to another server (123-reg) there is no issue. It only seems to happen through WAMP. A friend who also uses WAMP tried it for me. Howeve

Hi folks. I've found that my links for SMS and Emails have stopped working. It's definately WAMP that's causing it as I uploaded my site to a web hoster and it works ok there. I use this on my site: <div class="links"> <div class="email"><a href="mailto:mymail@gmail.com">CLICK HERE TO EMAIL ME</a></div> &nbsp;&n

Hi folks. My WAMP is working fine, but I would like the Ae tray menu to start when I start my PC. If I manually select the Desktop icon it works just fine. I've tried adding it to the Windows start directory and added it to the "run" in the registry but nothing gets it to start. Does anyone know if this can be done? Thanks

Hello again Otomatic. I found a post you helped in from 2018 where you suggested moving </VirtualHost> up to close after DocumentRoot path. This did the trick for me. I now can get URL access. Thanks for all your help.

Hello again Otomatic. I used *** rather than typing each website. Let me explain what my full setup is. I have 2 domains with a hosting company. These are forwarded to my IP address with the WAMP websites. For exaple 12.23.34.45/photos and 12.23.34.45/scotlodge (Both Fictitious IPs) I don't use the index.php I use index.html in my site directories. (Hope this works ok) If I type

Thanks again Otomatic. Sorry for the slow response, been away. An update for you. index.php no longer runs unless I omit the extension /*** ie. 127.0.0.1 Removed WAMP. Deleted vhost and hosts. Reinstalled WAMP. Using WAMP's virtualhost management install. (So I know they are configered correctly.) Now using either localhost or 127.0.0.1 with the correct extension /***** I get the corr

Thanks again Otomatic. I believed I'd setup WAMP to use SSL, perhaps not. I'm trying to get WAMP working as it should before I move forward. I don't know what changed things as I've been messing with settings and configs, but at least I now get past www. Unfortunately what happens now is, no matter what site I try to access WAMP only runs the first entry in httpd-vhost.conf. I've veris

Thanks Otomatic for helping. In my website directories I use index.html to run my sites. The index.php is in WAMP's www folder not in my website folders. I've removed the index.php from www folder to see if this helps. Now I can access my websites but only using http and not https. With https I get as far as www, which leads me to think WAMP is stopping access. I get: Forbidden You

Hi folks. I've downloaded the lates WAMP I used WAMP to generate the new sites. My issue is one of my sites stops at www and runs index.php, it doesn't goto the website root. This only happens on iPhones or iPads. Seriously. I know how crazy it sounds, but I've checked muliple devices. I have 2 sites. 1 works fine but 1 does as described. my vhost file: # Virtual hosts # <Virt

Hi all. I’ve just installed WAMP and moved my websites into WAMP. Everything is working great with accessing the sites, so no questions about functionality. What I find is if type any of my sites addresses the page name never shows in the URL. For example www.site.com/page1 shows a www.site.com even after the page loads. Is this normal in WAMP?

Hi folks. Not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but here goes. I have WAMP installed on my PC. It's worked absolutely fine for ages with one little exception. When I access my site, all the url's I use will only work with the extension html. If I omit these the url fails. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I recently upgraded to Windows 10. I then discovered that MANY others have done the same and they've also found the same problem. WAMP won't work when you install it on Windows 10. I tried MANY posted fixes. After days if not weeks I found a fix. Hence I'm posting here to help anyone that needs it. Post Windows 10 and then WAMP install, I did this. 1. Left click WAMP icon. Hi guys. I know this a is really trivial question. My WAMP is running fine now that I've done all the fixes post Windows 10 install. However, now the Icon never goes to 'Green'. It stays on orange, even though everything is working fine. It's only a pain as I need to load my site to make sure it's running OK. Does anyone have a fix?

Hi folks. I've updated my index.html, but when I access it from the web I get an old page every time. Even when I use local host from the menu I get the old page. If I open index.html directly all is fine. I uninstalled and reinstalled wamp. Can anyone help?
