Guys, I had mysql go south on me after two years of happy WAMP operation. To get to the chase, I want to pull a clean uninstall. I think/know that in the past this has meant some diddling with the Windows Registry, and I hope I don't need to do that; that's been an error-prone step for me in a past life. But I'll appreciate any url/text/whatever on what it takes to get to a system tha

Ummm, no. Sorry that my original question impled otherwise, but I was asking re " ...adding an application to the Wamp Server installation executeable ....". This is so that when the WAMP installation is complete, that application is there along with PHPMyAdmin, PHPInfo, SQLitemanager.

Thanks. It's just a PHP application. Very common. It has a built-in install script that I'd like the user to see, somehow, if possible. Not mandatory. Sorry, but I saw no posts re actually adding an application to the Wamp Server installation executeable.

Is there any information around re how I might add a 3rd-party package to WAMP? I can't imagine this is the first time this point has been raised, but I saw nothing in earlier postings or elsewhere on the site. Thanks, all.

1. I've un-commented the sockets.dll directive in the php.ini file in php version 5.2.6, stopped and restarted WAMP Server, and sockets doesn't show up in the php_info display. The dll is in the wamp\bin\php\php5.2.5\ext directory - from the initial install, untouched. 2.On an older WAMP with PHP Version 4.4.7, there's no entry in the php.ini for the sockets extension but the dll is th

Folks, I never cd get MySQL serving - apache and PHP worked fine - on an XP install of several months ago. So I thought I'd install the current WAMP release right over the old one. (I have my scripts saved off elsewhere.) But now Apache complains abount some entry point into apache.exe dll not found, and won't start, of course. Is there some wipe or uninstall step I missed? Thanks.
