Dear Steven, I am new to wamp server. I have the same issue when click on mysql console it close immediately. I can't use phpmyadmin because of error "#1130 - Host 'localhost' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server " A year ago, I used version 2.2 I remember setting up the password but forget now. After issue, I remove version 2.2 and install version 2.4 64 bit on win 7.
