2. WAMP and Windows 8.1 - Offline
I've been running WAMP on Windows 7 just fine for many years. I just upgraded to Windows 8 (from 7) and immediately installed the preview release of 8.1. I did not worry about configuring WAMP to work on Windows 8 as I was upgrading. The issue is that the WAMP icon in the system tray stays red and appears to be offline (although hovering over the icon reveals 'WAMPSERVER - Server Online'). O
