WampServer

I will be installing wamp on a walled off pc tomorrow, so I need to make sure I get the right version to install. And, I can carry all of them on a thumb drive, but my question is why would on choose a 2.2E version over the 2.4 of either 32 or 64 bit ones? Is there some hardware issue or something that I need to know about before charging off and installing 2.4? Thanks
