Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure how I corrected it but I turned off my computer and turned it back on and it's making a connection. I had uninstalled xampp and then installed wamp...so i'm not sure if ports were still in use by xamp or what. But it's working now. Thanks.

So I download everything, but when I go to turn on all services nothing happens. The icon just stays red and localhost doesn't work. Can anyone help me out here? Dumb it down for me too, very new to all this stuff.
