Hi, just installed WAMP 2.2 today on a new WIN 8 IE 10 Machine. Exactly same Problem! Thought before the bad response timings and issues with accessing localhost had something to do with it. Fixed everything related to IP6 and furthermore changed port to 8080. httpd.conf listens to 0.0.0.0:8080 Chrome working fast and without issues. IE 10 crashes WAMP after accessing 2-3 pages.
