As I am in the proces of transferring my TNG database from a Windows 8 to a Windows 10 computer, I would like to know, if it's ok to copy these files from the Windows 8 system to the Windows 10 system: Windows-system32-drivers-etc-host C:\wamp\bin\apache\apache2.4.41\conf\extra\httpd-vhosts.conf If yes, does it matter anything to do it before or after the installation of Wampserver?

Hi, I already did this, and none of them is missing. So I suppose, I don't need the Universal C Runtime and don't need to worry about this Apache....etc. component. I will go on and hope everything works out as it's supposed to:-)

Ah, okay, I haven't installed Wampserver yet, so I will look, when I get that far. My next question is about the redistributable packages: "If you are running WIndow pre windows 10, and you are running a component that uses Apache/Mysql/PHP compiled with MSVC 2015(VC14) you will also need to install the `Universal C Runtime" ` Does "pre" mean Windows before Window

Hi, I have to start all over with a new installation of Wamp on a Windows 10, 64 bit pc. Before it was on Windows 8. Starting out I have a problem finding out, if Skype is acually using port 80 or not. Skype doesn't any longer have the option to change port numbers, the advanced option in settings is gone. It seems that Skype is still using port 80: I have tried on Google to find w

David, thanks a lot:-) Would you please help me choose the right version? I have Window 8, 64 bit, so would it be 1. php-devel-pack-5.6.40-Win32-VC11-x64.zip or this 2. php-devel-pack-5.6.5-Win32-VC11-x86.zip These versions are on the archives page. In the manual it says to choose vc9 or vc11, so as I see it, I can't choose any of the 7xxxx versions. But maybe I should

Windows8 64 bit I have Wamp 2.5, which seems to be the only version, I can use for my TNG program. Now I would like to add two blogs in WordPress, but I get the message that they need to have PHP 5.6.40. Is it possible to upgrade to this version and still keep Wamp2.5? Kind regards Vanda

Thanks:-) The repair tool didn't work, so I uninstalled and reinstalled. Now it works again. Before I reinstalled, I checked the redistributables, there were 4 that weren't on my computer, which surprised me, since I checked just about 2 months ago. Anyway, it works now, but I have Wamp server on another computer, with my project as an exact copy. If I find that the redistributables are

Hi, Thanks for the reply:-) I've started to go through the trouble shooting. I would like to begin asking you the following: My hosts file looks like this. Is it correct? Hi, I have this strange problem, when I try to open my offline Wamp server 2.5 (my database only works with this version): "Aestan tray icon: could not execute menu item(internal error) could not execute run action: the directory name is invalid" We have two computers, both Windows 8, 64 bit. I have installed wamp server and run my database on both computers, everything is exac

Hi, Thanks:-) Yes, I noticed and will certainly do so. So your answer must mean my question 2) is a no, which is a relief. I will return when it's time for me to activate PHP 7 in 3.0.3. Thank you so much for all your help in this forum, I really appreciate it a lot:-) Vanda

Hi, Thanks:a lot-) It seems like everything is okay. If I understand it correctly, now it's possible to upgrade directly to vers. 3.0.3. with this installation file: 1) Update Wampserver 2.5 64 bit x64 -> Wampserver 3.0.3 from your site ? 2) And I don't need to follow the instructions from this sticky: Installing a new release of WAMPServer? 3) I need to have PHP vers 7 and

Hi, Thanks:-) The problem with vers. 2.5. is, when I click on My project in the wampserver that the address turns up to be , but the project doesn't appear. But when I change the address to , my program appears and everything works fine. Is there somewhere I can change a file, so that it points to ? I suppose it should be doing so without having to change the address manually.

Hi again, I've spent many hours trying to install my program in WampServer again, this time, for some weird reason it's only possible, if I install the old version WampServer2.2a-x32, even though I have 64 bit. It works perfectly. Before installing WampServer, I did install again all the necessary redistributable packages, so they are now updated with the latest versions to this day. My o

I need to ask some more questions. I use the Wampserver for a genealogy program. After the computer broke down in 2016 I was advised to take a backup of my whole wamp installation, because then it's a lot easier to establish the genealogy program in the wampserver again. But I don't understand the difference here: Backup of the first lines of wampmanager.tpl June 27 2016 (I only took a copy of

Thank you so much for a quick response. The VC++ packages are now installed. Will it make any difference for installing my genealogy program correctly that the Wampserver version is now 3.1.0 and not 3.0.0 + updates? I was thinking of also installing Wampserver on another computer with Windows 7 - can I follow the same procedures? Vanda

Hi, I'm sorry, but I need your help again. Once more my computer broke down and I have to start from scratch with Wampserver. This time I haven't installed Wampserver, so can I just install Wampserver 3.0.6 64 bit, or do I need to install version 3.0.0. and then 3.0.6. on top of it?? And if I need version 3.0.0, would you please give me a link? I have been searching for Visual Studio, I don

Hi Otomatic, Many, many thanks for your help, everything is working now:-) I mentioned earlier that some of the packages redistributable for Visual Studio couldn't be installed, for instance the two packages for 64 and 32 bit that seemed to be update 1 for 2015. When I was in the process of installing from wamp 3.0.0 to 3.0.4., the installer said it was highly recommended to install exact

Hi again, Thanks for the link. Do I also need to install Visual Studio itself, 6,1 GB? The file vcredist_2013_mbcsmfc.exe (Multibyte MFC Library for Visual Studio 2013) says it can't be installed, unless Visual Studio is installed on the computer. As for the update of Wamp : Can I install 3.0.4. on top of version 3.0.0, or do I have to uninstall Wamp first? Some of the packages ca

I'm sorry, I had to take a break. May I ask you once more, don't I put this in the SQL Query window: repair table tng_families; As I understand it, the sign > doesn't have to be there, wasn't that just in order to list, what I should do, like 1., 2. etc.?
