Thank you RiggsFolly, I would have not realized that the Apache and MySQL services would have to be uninstalled and then re-installed. Your detailed description should keep me out of trouble! Thanks again, Herb Gaidus

Hello again,, Life is good! I've downloaded Wampserver (32 bits & PHP 5.3) 2.2E and have wrestled it into submission. On windows 7, 64bit it seems that the localhost database users need to be created using 127.0.0.1 as the host. ImageMagick is working well with my Drupal install too. I have even downloaded the PHP5.2.8 addon, enabled it, and now my antique Drupal 6.xy is running per

Thanks for the prompt response... I tried that with no luck as of yet... I think my next step is a new Drupal install to see if that works, and then see if I can find any differences.

Hi Guys, I really hate to ask for help, but for the past two days I've unable to get my new machine up with Wampserver, and I'm afraid it might be something easy for the experts. My new machine is running 64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate SP1. My previous machine that works fine is also 64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 and is still running Wampserver 2.0 with Apache 2.2.11, PHP 5.2.8, MySQL 5.1.30

Thank you very much for your response! So as I understand it, I can believe what the WAMP localhost page tells me (I really am using MySQL 4.1.2x) - and that phpinfo() is just reporting the use of the 5.045 client. Thanks again - it had me confused. Herb

I tried updating to MySQL 4.1.21 to see if this would help, but I get the same issue. The localhost information says that I'm using the "correct" MySQL - 4.1.21 in this case, but running phpinfo(), still shows that the client is 5.0.45. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks if you can help point me in the correct direction!

Greetings! First a big Thanks for making this available. I just upgraded from a previous version so I could better replicate my hosts environment and this release, (and your new website), looks great. My challenge is related to the version of MySQL. I'm trying to replicate my hosts usage of MySQL version 4.1.22. I've loaded the default configuration of Apache 2.2.6, PHP 5.2.5 and MySQL 5

OK - In case any one else has this issue.... I had changed the default-character-set=latin1 in my.ini to default-character-set=utf8 When I changed it back to default-character-set=latin1, all is well and the errors go away..

I'm having a similar issue - Is this for all 3 log files, and if so, I can't really find where to "limit size" in the 3 config files. Thanks if you can help!

Greetings... Big thanks for your efforts. I've been using WAMP for a few years now and it's Great!! One issue that I've had since the beginning is that I repeatedly get the following error in my apache_error.log. (maybe with every page access?) File 'c:\mysql\share\charsets\?.conf' not found (Errcode: 2) Character set '#192' is not a compiled character set and is not specified in the 'c:\

Thank you for the response! I've been fooling around for a few days with it, and I think I may have isolated the problem. I'm trying to configure imagemagick to work with a Drupal installation so that I can use a module that has enhanced image scaling and sharpening. It works fine using the gd2 toolkit. I think there is a windows installer for imagemagick at - I used the ImageMagick-6.3.2-1-Q

WOW! Thanks for the timely response! - I've looked again, and I see that it is indeed under the php/ext but not the php4/extensions folder. Since I'm using 4.4, I guess that the plain php folder must be for php5. I'll play some more. Thanks again, herb

First of all, thanks for the great installation! It's working flawlessly, and I don't want to mess it up. I'm under Windows XP-sp2, Apache 2.0.59, MySQL 5.0.27, and PHP 4.4.4 and have been playing with developing Drupal sites. I've spent almost 2 days trying to get ImageMagick Working - if you can offer any suggestions or a good url other than that works, I'll buy you a beer -- or glass of wine!
