WampServer

Hello, I just installed Wampserver today and I am trying to learn the ropes. The first problem I have encountered is that I cannot launch localhost until I turn on IIS. My OS does not have IIS. Can I still run Wampserver on XP Home Edition or do I have to get XP Professional? The WS icon in my system tray is Orange. Please assist. Thanks.

Hello, I am experiencing a similar problem. I just installed Wampserver today. When I try to launch localhost, I get redirected to the default browser alright, but only to be given instructions on how to activate IIS. I am on windows XP Home Edition and do not have this feature. Can I run Wampserver successfully without IIS or is there a way I can work around this? Please not I very very green
